So many useless quizzes. Am bored. Wish Midnight Blue would write more "The Mirror of Maybe". Wish Serafina would finish "Corner of the World" after making it still so angsty for 22 parts even after Clark and Lex have entered a relationship. Wish a new obsession would come along and hit me on the head for a few months. Wish that I could find a new decent fantasy book to read. Wish that I could finish reading FotR and the other two. Wish that I could get myself to read Robert Jordan. Wish that David Eddings wrote more Garion.

I wish a lot of things, but they're not going to happen.

Wrote new vignettes, companion pieces. V. strange, not rooted firmly in time and space. An almost poem, inspired by the first line of Nicholas Tse's "Let Me Die". First line of "Will We" is taken from that song. Know that they are utter crap, but am posting anyway. Don't know why.

Will We

Will we be at war tonight?

Will we see the flames of Hell lick the wings of the angels like serpentine tongues?

Will we see our dearest running towards us only to be shot in the back by a grinning gunman?

Will we see fallen Lucifer rising from his throne in Hell to descend on earth?

Will we hear the explosions, the gunfire, the screams and the pain?

Will we see the angels coming down to save us?

Will we see the blood of the innocent paint the pavement?

Will we see the demons break Heaven?

Will we see the armies clash like tides, blood red and muddy, only to melt into masses of dead carcasses?

Will we see Hell triumph?

Will we see tomorrow?

Only If

Only if we wish to continue it.

Only if Good begins to crumble.

Only if the gunman forgets his humanity.

Only if he can rise and fall.

Only if we open our ears.

Only if we are worth it.

Only if people reduce the value of another human being.

Only if God allows Heaven to be broken.

Only if people cannot talk before fighting.

Only if we allow it.

Only if we try.

Turns out that Steph is not my friend Steph but another Steph (sister of Arfeen, broken collarbone from accident). She got a lot of ppl calling her and asking her (my friend, not the one that got hit by the car) "Are you okay? You were hit by a car." She had no idea what they talking about and the worse thing is that it was her birthday that ppl were calling to say, "You were hit by a car!"

God, that must be a crappy birthday gift when you were waiting for ppl to say happy bday instead of "You were hit by a car!"

Arfeen is okay, I'm glad. I don't know her personally, but a lot of my friends in the grade same as Arfeen are in tears. A lot of hugs were distributed today. Arfeen should be okay as the break in her back was a clean one and hit no nerve endings (I am so relieved about that) but she's in bad shape w/ several broken bones. No one can visit her in the hospital yet, a lot of ppl are disappointed. It was v. somber today in Student Prayers as the principal announced it. Usually my younger friends are cheery and hyper to the point where they freak me out, but today, the mood was unusually serious. Hope Arfeen gets well v. soon.

Long day. No homework. YAHOO!

Early blog, but just got this:

"...Potentially & Realistically..."

A young boy went up to his father and asked him, "Dad, what is the difference between potentially and realistically?"

The father thought for a moment, then answered,"Go ask your mother if she would sleep with Robert Redford for a million dollars. Then ask your sister if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars, and ask your brother if he'd sleep with Tom Cruise for a million dollars. Come back and tell me what you learn from that."

So the boy went to his mother and asked, "Would you sleep with Robert Redford for a million dollars?"

The mother replied, "Of course I would! We could really use that money to fix up the house and send you kids to a great college!"

The boy then went to his sister and asked, "Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?"

The girl replied, "Oh my God! I LOVE Brad Pitt! I would sleep with him in a heartbeat, are you nuts?!?!?"

The boy then went to his brother and asked, "Would you sleep with Tom Cruise for a million dollars?"

"Of course," the brother replied. "Do you know how much a million could buy?" The boy pondered that for a few days, then went back to his dad.

His father asked him, "Did you find out the difference between potentially and realistically?"

The boy replied, "Yes, sir. Potentially, we're sitting on three million dollars, but realistically, we're living with two sluts and a fag."

So discriminatory and rude, but it's funny in a twisted way.

[Gravity got high on ecstasy on Thursday, May 9, 2002 @ 08:03 a.m.]

I just found out from a friend's blog that another friend, Steph, and a fellow student, Arfeen, were hit by a car. They could have killed with the force that they were hit, but the former is apparently okay, but the latter has several serious injuries like a cracked knee and vertabrae, broken bones, and a nasty gash on her forehead. She's awake, but she's going to be in the hospital for weeks and there is no way she can attend school. That's a moot point anyway, but they got hit by a car. I never thought that would happen to anyone I knew.

I'm having serious thoughts about my own mortality. All youth, including me, have this strange, taken-for-granted fact that we're...immortal and invicible. We're young, we're free and we don't have many responsibilities, so we do what we want. Just do it applies to us in every sense and we think we have an amazing life ahead of us and we don't have any thoughts that we may die the next day and not have done the things that we would have wanted to do. We are so convinced that we are the gods of the world that we're mortal just like the 90 year old grandmother breathing her last breath in a nursing home.

"With the power of conviction, there is no sacrifice...we will be invicible." - Invincible, Pat Benetar.

Warning: Fangirl gushing ahead

Oh. My. God.

Just finished watching Smallville. Sad, sad episode. Lot of death and stuff and found self squealing when Clark/Lana or Clark/Chloe moments popped up.

Funeral scene, so incredibly sad. *sniff* However...was thinking inappropriate thoughts about how good Clark and Whitney looked in black suits and in the rain, kind of wet. *shakes head* I'm incorrigible. In all honesty, Tom Welling seems to get yummier every time I see him and this was the first time I actually thought Eric Johnson was vaguely appealing. And they were both wet in the rain. Omigod. And then Clark walked off w/o umbrella just drowning in angst, torn between Lana and Chloe.

Clark should just resolve this issue by taking Lex on up his subtle offer so he won't endanger either of the relationships he has w/ the girls. ^_^

Yes, I already said I was incorrigible.

YAHOO!!! LEAFS WON 2-1!!! We're tied 2-2 with the Sens. Oh god, the disputed goal at 25 seconds freaked the hell out of me. I was frightened that the refs would call it in favour for the Sens. We're back in TO, thank god.

Must finish essay and write opinion piece. Oh shit.

Strangely unfulfilling day. No theme music...just cuz. Suddenly realized idiocy of skipping dinner out w/ extended family minus nuclear family. Have craving for tempura now. Argh!

So hard trying to write essay. And have just realized that Law opinion piece is due tomorrow, along w/ World History artistic poem. So much stuff to write before watching Smallville at 8. Smallville and Gilmore Girls are not miss-able, even though it means handing in stuff late.

*lol* That certainly shows where my priorities are.

Intense, strange day. Feel v. weird and like I just got home, but I got home at 12:30 and have done absolutely nothing. Am not liking laziness, time goes past too fast.

Will concentrate on writing important school stuff.

Awww...feel warm 'n fuzzy now. Finally talked to some friends I haven't talked to in a long time. Miss seeing them, will see them likely on Friday. Hope to, at least.

My school was published in the National Post. *sigh* This article is idiotic and casts a bad light on everything. Partially, it is false and badly written and I think the reporter is painting it in different tones. Check it out. The only good thing is that my school's nothing compared to some other schools' scandals. But at the same time, I feel kind of maliciously pleased that my school's reputation is getting slightly besmirched. I know I am so not nice, but my school is...not what I would call pleasant.

^_^ Addictive. Then it's gets boring. Go here. Don't get caught!

You were female in your last earthly incarnation.

You were born somewhere around the territory of what is now know as modern Oceania, approximately in the year 1750.

Your profession was: sailor, shoemaker.

A brief psychological profile of you in that past life: Such people are always involved with all new. You have always loved changes, especially in art, music, cooking.

A lesson that your last past life wishes you to learn in your present life is: Your lesson -- to learn discretion and reasonability and then teach others to do that. Your life will be happier, when you help those who lack reasoning.

Rosenbaum is too...but only when he's Lex and not whathisname in the travesty of a film they call Sorority Boys.

Also known widely as the Fire Bird, the phoenix is a profound symbol of the circle of life. It has a life cycle of 500 to 600 ears and after that amount of time, it sets itself on fire and dies in the flames. Then after three days, it rises again from the ashes. It is a completely benign creature who lives in dew. It is said that the phoenix has a beautiful melidous song which grows ever more mournful as its life comes to an end. It is a symbol of the sun and immortality. The phoenix is a very worthwhile beast.

Wow. Aren't I productive?

[Gravity got high on ecstasy on Sunday, May 5, 2002 @ 08:16 p.m.]

[Theme music: No One Like You by Bonnie Pink]

Having v. productive day, am immensely proud of self. ^___^ Firstly, I got myself up at 6:50 am on a Saturday to do the SATs. Went through nerve-wracking process and was horrible and did badly. (WTF does pallatine mean? Or bombast?) However, since am going to take Canadian Law, so is moot point.

Then after three hours of brain use, I came back home and after an hour or so of watching tv and indulging in MickeyD's, worked for 4 1/2 hours on media speech, powerpoint presentation, creating a crossword, and english presentation. Am so proud of self. Was productive and did not get too distracted! ^____^ However, have essay left to write. Still have Sunday, though.

Also, such a gorgeous day in Toronto. Was in downtown TO for SATs at U of T and driving w/ sunroof open was lovely. Was in wicked car, sister's friend drove me down and he has a v. cool car. Wish could have spent day wandering around downtown w/ friends in t-shirts, but had to come back home.

Watched Spiderman last night, got home at 10:30. Had lively discussion of Spiderman w/ friends. *grin* Also, slashiness...omg, such slashy subtext there, it almost challenges Smallville's degree of subtext. ^_^ Harry/Peter springs to mind, however I wonder what the Green Goblin did w/ Spiderman when the latter was unconscious...

Okay, will not ruin sanctity and manly manliness of Spiderman anymore. But Tobey Maguire and whathisname as Harry...mmmmmmm...like Harry/Peter. Like it lots. Kind of like Lancelot/Arthur.

Chibi!Clark: Sick, sick sick! Travesty!

What? Well, sorry for interpreting something that MZB did too!

Chibi!Clark: How dare you think that Spiderman's slashy subtext is comparable to Smallville's? You heretic!

*sigh* It's not like it's the end of the world. I mean, both have slashy subtext and they're perfectly good in their own way.

Chibi!Clark: I can't listen to this anymore. My virgin ears!

*snickers* Virgin? *collapses into gales of laughter*

Chibi!Clark: That's it! I need frosting! LEX! *storms off*

*rolls eyes* Chibi muses. They're always volatile. So different from their originals and several incarnations. That was Super Sensitive!Clark. Refer to "Icing On the Cake" by Kel for his last comment.

Couple of funny links: first, Operation Vowel Storm. Old, but good. ^_^ They should send some to Europe and Asia as well. They're moderately in need of them. And then a classic which I have re-discovered and dearly, dearly love: The Evil Overlord List. I love this and it's a must have for anyone plotting world domination b/c it's just so sensible.

Sensibility is an evil overlord's best friend. And your massive destroy-the-whole-world thingy where you press a button and things blow up. Yeah. Whatever that thingy's called. ^^

Which Angelina Are You?

[Gravity got high on ecstasy on Friday, May 3, 2002 @ 03:00 p.m.]

Hate, hate, hate school. HATE!

Exam schedules are up. Never has anything garnered so much hatred, attention, and stress from students of our school.

Exams begin on Wednesday, May 29. Ugh...my Law exam's that day, followed by Media on the 30th, then Math on Friday. Monday is World History then English on Tuesday then a day of maniacal studying and then Thursday, Finite. Then the hellishness will end.

I'm stressing already. Why? Because I have to ace Law and Finite, as they are my OACs or my chances of getting into a decent university are slim. And Law and Finite are my favourite courses right now, not to mention I'm getting my best marks in them. Oh god...then next year, I'm a fucking grad. A grad. As in graduating. As in moving on from high school. As in, oh god, on verge of nervous breakdown.

Will read slash and calm self down.
