Didn't get Film Club co-head. My friend, Katie got it instead, a sole position. *sigh* Oh well, she's much more into film and I'm more into watching and discussing than filming or video. She honestly deserves it. If I had the guts, I would make an anime club, but there's almost no people who are into anime/manga or Japanese culture. I thought I had the Film Club co-head position when the third candidate got another position instead. It hurt. I'm telling myself it's just a little thing, but a lot of my friends got positions and it'll look bad on my record since I didn't get a leadership position in my final year. I'm going to sink into fucking melancholy if I don't stop thinking about it. I'm outcast and unloved and unpopular. No one loves me.

Won't think negative thoughts. Self-esteem will go down majorly. And self-pitying shit will not work. Will sink melancholy in Angel/Spike and Saiyuki and Clark/Lex. I think I'm getting tired of Clark/Lex. Shit. That always happens eventually...

I heard that if you swear in a fic and post it on ff.net, you're supposed to have an NC-17 warning and if you don't your account gets frozen for a week and the story gets pulled. That's idiotic. Swearing does not warrant an NC-17 warning, perhaps PG-13 at the highest b/c to be frank, most 13 year olds do know what 'fuck', 'shit', 'hell', and etc. mean quite literally along w/ the social definition and usage. Once I heard some eight year old boys raving over some Digimon toys and they said, "(insert Digimon name) is so fucking cool. He can so fucking beat (insert Digimon name) anyday!" Let's just say that day I felt old for hearing eight year olds swear.

LaserQuest was fun. I kind of forgot about everything in there. I sucked on the first round ranking 26/27, but the second time, I ranked 17/33, which was okay. I honestly suck completely in shooters. I have no aim or accuracy. In fact, I suck at all video games. Then my best friend beat me 7-6 at air hockey. I've beaten her everytime so far we've played and I was bragging (so egotistical of me, I know), but then I lost...*sigh* she was nice about it. She's always nice and deals well with my random remarks and sudden nasty, melancholy, and hyper moods. And I can squick her with two words, anytime, anyplace. She and I talk about anything, mainly yaoi/slash and manga. ^_^ She's bloody fantastic.

I think I'll go and read some Saiyuki fanfics...urge for Sanzo/Goku and Homura/Goku...

But today I get to go to LaserQuest with friends for a friend's surprise bday party. Going to be like MGS2, except we aren't Raiden, annoying prettyboy, or Solid Snake. But it's going to be fun!!!

Smallville...oh, the slashiness!!! ^_______^ Such lovely vibes between Clark and Lex. Wed's episode was just a rerun of the first, but still so good when Clark saved Lex and vice versa.

Must indulge in more cliched Clark/Lex fanfiction. And Saiyuki. Must get Saiyuki Part 3 DVDs...

Mmm...Saiyuki. Gotta get more Saiyuki. Manga. Gimme manga. Gimme Saiyuki Gaiden. Gimme Saiyuki anime (despite butchering of plot). Gimme the OVAs, the TV series, the movies. Gimme anything Minekura Kazuya. Just gimme!

Yes, I am addicted to Saiyuki now. God...love it so much, even though I'm watching the much butchered anime version instead of reading the manga. When I get to HK, one of the first things I have to get is volumes 3 and up, plus Saiyuki Gaiden (almost the best part of Saiyuki) in Japanese. If not, I'll concede to buying the Chinese versions, but I already have 1 and 2 in Japanese.

Surprisingly, I don't have a desperate urge to slash the characters together. I do see shounen-ai subtext (Minekura-sensei is the master of all shounen-ai subtext and UST), in fact a whole damn lot of it. But it's not like Weiss where I slash everyone...with everyone. Only a select few have a "feeling" between them and it can be interpreted as yaoi, but also a close relationship, i.e. Sanzo and Goku. Then again I also see some Gojyo/Hakkai happening (oh c'mon, so obvious!) and *cough* I have an urge to slash Homura and his lackeys and Kougaiji, but I just haven't put my finger on who...

Ok, I'm kidding, I do want to slash them. But not desperately. I'm not going to die just because people can't write a decent Saiyuki yaoi fic to save their lives. ff.net *shudder*

Oh, and read this. Hilarious, I swear you will laugh. This isn't bad, v. funny.

Whee! Lazy day! My aunt insisted on me waking up before 2 pm...*sigh* Daylight Savings Time you rob me of sleep! It's always weird to wake up when you gain/lose time. You never quite know if you're early or late.

Watched Saiyuki last night and today. Love the show because the characters and world is v. cool, but the animation absolutely sucks. However, my loyalty to the manga prevails and I am boldly pushing forward and watching it nevertheless. Sanzo is beyond wicked. Nothing like a gun-wielding, beer-chugging, chain-smoking monk to be the main character of a manga. ^_^ And crazy!Goku is amazing. He goes positively beserk and...yes, he hurts people but he makes up for that with his wicked fighting skills.

Also trying to read my SRA book and failing horribly. I should have chosen it before the March Break and now I can't read it no matter what I try and it's due next week. I'll manage somehow, I hope.

I've also figured out how a usual Clark/Lex (or vice versa) fic works now. First, Clark slowly realizes at some special event or during his usual routine that he finds Lex attractive. He proceeds to throw caution to the wind and kisses Lex, who reciprocates. Or Lex contemplates Clark's innocence and finds it attractive and decides he wants Clark. He kisses Clark, who reciprocates.

Then, this applying to both above, it develops into a sexual relationship, but they do not go all the way because Clark is not yet of the age of consent. Clark is always innocent, but knows what he's doing and Lex is always a sexually experienced individual who has had a checkered past with unstable or short-lived relationships and flings. If it is an angst fic, angst will ensue because Clark a) cannot control himself during their activities b) is incredibly possessive of but dependent on Lex c) Lionel is supremely evil and discovers their relationship and nefariously plots to take Clark away from his parents via his adoption papers but fails. Eventually, they will go all the way when Clark is of the age of consent and it ends up as an angsty WIP or they live happily ever after after much angst or fluffiness.

Yes, I like Smallville slash. However, within a week of reading it, I've already discovered the generic slash plot that always exists in fics. i.e. Harry Potter Harry/Draco fics always turn out to be approximately the same. Same for Weiss Kreuz fics, etc. Name a fandom, name a pairing, name a genre of fic, I bet you that you will find at least two fics that are similiar.

It always disappoints me when I find the same pattern repeated for fics. It means that original stuff is always harder to come by, but I keep on reading it because well...there's nothing else to read and the fic's usually well-written, so I can forgive the photocopied-ness of the general plot.

And yes, I analyze patterns of fic-writing in fandoms. ^_^; Call it a little interest of mine.

Just watched Life As A House. Not bad, perhaps just a tad bit cliched, but still v.g. Of course, Hayden Christensen as Sam has everything to do with that. He's v. cool and almost...pretty boy. So cool as a punk struggling with life and excellent blue streaked hair. It was sad too, *sniff* Kevin Kline as George dying...*sigh* However, it reminded me of American Beauty, almost too much.

Mmm...sudden craving for Sum 41 music. Must go and d/l!
