[Theme muzak: Lifehouse - Everything]
Watched the Smallville DVD yesterday w/ Martha, who rented it from Blockbuster. The Blockbusters here are v. paranoid. You have to put down your credit card number or a HK$100 deposit on each rental just in case you lose/abscond with it. And HK also puts detectors and turnstiles at the doors of their public libraries just in case you feel like stealing some books. Which does happen, as I have been told.
Fireworks. Because I didn't get to celebrate Canada Day by satisfying my inner pyromaniac by lighting matches to wicks or whatever those things attached to fireworks are. ^^

[Theme muzak: Quarashi - Stick 'Em Up]
Staying up til 2 am in HK for IniD is well worth the trouble. Doesn't sound like much, but when I actually have to get up at 8 am, it's torture. Initial D is enormously amusing in Chinese and Japanese. I watched the episode with the whole Iketani/Mako/Ryousuke debacle, laughing my ass off at the cheesy Chinese dialogue and utterly confused by the Japanese.
Finished One Piece! 24. I love One Piece now! So much fun to read! ^_^ I adore Ruffy, Sanji, Zoro, Nami, Bibi, and the reindeer bear dude. Especially the reindeer bear dude. And especially Sanji. Sanji is cool. And Zoro. Can't forget him w/ the v. cool three sword slash thing. ^_^
I have less than two weeks left in Hong Kong. *sigh* But I get to see my friends in less than two weeks, which is good. But it's still sad I have to leave. I feel like I just got here in HK.
Well...shouldn't think about it. I'll go cheer myself up by buying more manga and anime and playing TCII, DDM, Bishi-Bashi and House of the Dead. Nothing like pounding buttons furiously and blowing up zombies and bullet-vested bad guys to cheer me up! ^_^

[Theme muzak: Rubyhorse - Sparkle]
*still shocked* I did ParaPara last night. Was utterly humiliating, yet kinda fun in a twisted FOB way, but I actually did ParaPara. I was awkward, not co-ordinated, but actually still managed to clear the stages.
And yes, I can hear Yoshi laughing his ass off in Toronto. Get your camera ready, Yoshi.
And langey-chan, remember our promise? I do ParaPara, you do DDR? ^_^ See you in the arcade...
Found Full Moon wo Sagashite and Yorozuya Toukaido Honpo 9 (the last volume)! ^_^ *jumps around in joy* Also got the rest of Hikaru no Go, strangely addictive and I am liking One Piece! way too much for my own good. And Love Mode 10 is mine! *hugs it wildly* More yaoi goodness! ^_^V The ukes are drawn differently. Izumi definitely looks much younger and actually more uke-ish, if that's possible.
Did Time Crisis II again yesterday. Am addicted to it, love the gun. Relieved a lot of stress for me, especially after the embarassment of ParaPara.
Shoot It! Perfect. Just Perfect. ^_^
Must go now. Using up grandfather's office electricity way too much. ^^

[Theme muzak: Jimmy Eat World - The Middle]
You are Kusakabe Marron | Kaito Jeanne You are generous and talented, though often widthdrawn. You tend to have just a few close friends, rather than many. You appear very cheerful and enthusiastic, but struggle to keep up with what others expect of you. In the end, your perseverance and sacrifices help you pull through. Take the "What Magic Girl are you?" Quiz
Days like these, I curse my shoujo manga addiction. I'm still hunting for Full Moon wo Sagashite vol. 1, but to no avail. All Japanese copies of the first volume have been snatched up already at my local Mitsukoshi and Sogo. Grrr...
[Spoilers up to Shaman King manga vol. 19] Finished reading Shaman King 19. ;_; Ren died. But Horo and Chocolove going ballistic was priceless. Next to Yoh and Anna, Ren was my favourite character. And the fact that we saw his v. nice ass in the earlier volumes of the manga didn't do any harm. ^_~ Yoh is extremely cool and me like v. much. I have the greatest respect for Yoh and Anna. I really like Anna b/c she isn't one of those whiny, wimpy female love interests who cry and need to be rescued. That job's nicely filled by Manta, the mini rich boy.
Now I wonder why I actually read shoujo manga when so many shoujo manga have a crying heroine and piss me off in some way, shape or form.
Going onto reading Hikaru no Go, Hunter x Hunter, then One Piece! A long arduous road of attempting to read Japanese and convincing other people that yes, manga is educational because I'm teaching myself how to read Japanese and no, I'm not really reverting back to being immature eight year old kid who'll kick your shins viciously when you insult my anime/manga addiction. ^_^
I watched Y Tu Mama Tambien yesterday with Martha and Rebecca. It was interesting. Seemed like a PWP for the first 80 minutes until the thing between the woman and the two guys at the end. Er...cross that out, the whole thing (including the threesome thing) was utterly plotless, but still made an impact.
Did a two-day arcade binge. My hands and arms hurt a lot. I played Typing of the Dead, Time Crisis II (actually didn't suck for once), Bishi-Bashi, virtual ping pong, some sort of ParaPara-ish but not quite Para Para game involving hands and Eurobeat music, some tambourine music game, BioHazard (Resident Evil for the NAs over there) and whatever else I could get my hands on (which is quite a lot). Fun, but terribly tiring and it empties the wallet extremely fast.
...Hm.
Intuition. Insight. Emotions. Feelings. Take the quiz.

[Theme muzak: Initial D muzak]
*cue evil villain laugh* I now possess vol. 1-19 of Shaman King, vol. 1-5 of Hikaru no Go, vol. 1-11 of Hunter x Hunter, vol. 1-11 of Naruto, and vol. 1-19 of One Piece! Me happy. HoroRen and SasuNaru. ^_^v

[Theme muzak: The Calling - Unstoppable]
Just Click. Enormously funny. Kinda like DDR combined with Para Para in a purely artistic free-movement dance thingywhatever with Spiderman.
FatMouse. o_O Very, very disturbing...
Asparagus vs. Broccoli. Round 1, fight!
Elgoog.
what's your cowboy bebop theme song?
Mrowr?
 | You are not very reliable but people like you anyway because you are so easygoing and fun to be with. And cute, too.
Which Blogging Tool Are You? |
I am never ever ever drinking cold iced coffee with condensed milk on an empty stomach first thing in the morning ever again. I'm actually trembling and really jittery. On second thought, it's kind of cool. I've never gotten so jumpy because of caffeine overdose. ^_^
Last night at midnight Initial D was on ATV. ^_^ The Chinese dub scarred me mentally, but they had it in Japanese too. TVs in HK have the convient option of the audio switching from one language to another at the press of a button. If TVs over in the US and Canada had that, we wouldn't need to be subjected to the blasphemous horror that is English anime dubs.

AntCity. Addictive, hilarious and fun. ^_^ Play it again, and again and again and again and again! Perfect for evil villain types. ^_^
I died. -_-
Earring Magic Ken. *rofl* This is priceless! Bet Smithers would like one of these.
What If Harry Potter Was Directed By.... Scroll down to July 16. Priceless-ness brought to a whole new level. Cassie Claire r0xx0r5! ^_^
An excerpt from the above: "Baz Lurhmann: Ewan MacGregor plays Harry as a sunny and poetic soul who falls tragically in love with Draco Malfoy, a can-can-dancing prostitute afflicted with Tragic Fanfiction Wasting Disease, in which he gets better and better looking until he finally dies of being so very attractive. Ron spends the film sulking inside an elephant until he is finally shot to death by Leonardo diCaprio, bitter over being turned down for the role of Ginny Weasley.
M. Night Shyamalan: Harry (played by Bruce Willis) finds out at the end of the movie that actually Hogwarts and the wizarding world are entirely imaginary; in fact, the Dursleys have been slipping hallucinogenic mushrooms into his digestive biscuits all this time in an attempt to drive him insane so that the authorities will take him away. In retaliation, Harry locks Dudley in a closet with Haley Joel Osment."

[Theme muzak: Greenwheel - Shelter]
Binging on Agatha Christie mysteries. Have finished six of them within the space of two days. I'm starting on "Assassin's Aprentice" by Robin Hobb. Thank god HK has English bookstores or I'd go mad. There's only so much shopping one person can do in a few months before boredom sets in.
Am missing friends in Toronto deeply. *hugs* And PS2. And GTA3. Will definitely stay up for the whole entire night and day the moment I get back on the computer, on MSN, on the PS2, and anything else I can do to keep myself awake.
Found out some wicked tricks to use in GTA3, leaping cars, full health/weapons, etc. I know it's old news, but for a newbie gamer like me, it's going to sweet to test them out. Can't wait. ^_^

[Theme muzak: Quarashi - Stick 'Em Up]
Am sick. Feel like utter shit. Correction: like roadkill akin to Stitch run over by multiple trucks. Headache, runny yet stuffed up nose, sore throat, and sore all over. Ugh...
Good side to life: Have gotten all 3 Backgammons, the artbooks by Minekura Kazuya and bought Gorgeous Carat. More Higuri You deliciousness. Still have not found Ludwig II. -_- Finding Ludwig II is my ultimate manga-hunting goal and I have been searching for two years now and still nothing. *sigh* I think I can order it at Sogo. They only take three weeks versus Mitsukoshi's 4 and the latter isn't always sure they can find it.
Had to buy a HK$ 7 800 bag for my sister. Louis Vuitton. -_-;;; Is going to take some lying to cover this up from my grandfather. Am terrible at lying. And I'm practically choking from the amount of money spent on just one bloody bag.
[Saturday, July 13, 2002 | 03:15 p.m.]
[Theme muzak: Jamiroquai - Love Foolosophy]
Didn't blog for a few days b/c my grandparents had eye surgery and had to go w/ them to the surgery place. Semi-nervous and irritated by turns. I am not a patient person and add that the surgery was supposed to take only twenty minutes for each grandparent and my grandma was in for 45 minutes really made me nervous and jumpy. It's ok now though. It went through all right, so I'm breathing many sighs of relief. And it has also made my grammar atrocious.
Reading Hunter x Hunter, One Piece!, Yatteraneze!, and other stuff which I don't remember right now. And yaoi. Lots and lots of yaoi. (Rental places in HK rock! They have so much manga!) ^_^ (Yes, I know that squicks you, Greg.)
DMC2!!! GET DONE FASTER, DAMNIT! *whimper* Need Dante...and...cool guns...
