Oh. My. God.

I got another look at some Diablo pictures online and all I can say is: Oh my gawd.

Am in near ecstasy, especially after seeing the Murcielago. The Diablo and the Murcielago...just ohmygod.

I know I'll probably never see or ride one in RL, but they are both beyond amazing. The Murcielago is believed to be $195,000 US. The Diablo SV is just $1000 less and the Diablo VT is $239,000 US.

If I start saving now, maybe I can afford one when I'm dead. ^^ Nah, not that car-fanatical, but honestly, the Diablo and the Murcielago are gorgeous cars that I would absolutely die to see, much less drive or ride in. Same with my sister. Damn her for making me interested in cars...

Warning: Spoilers for Smallville season finale "Tempest"

Mmm...read a v.g. exploration into the supposed "Lex stepping into the Dark Side" by Thamiris. Warning: Tempest Spoilers contained within.

Am still kind of disappointed and just a tad indignant that SV ended the way it did. Spent much of day discussing that w/ friends and came up w/ some of the cliffhangers and questions which we are generally unhappy about, since we will have to wait until fall to see resolved.

  1. What will happen to Clark and Lana trapped in the combined funnels? (Some friends are not concerned about the latter's fate at all, as is typical of them. ^_^)
  2. Will Lex save his father?
  3. What's happening to the spaceship?
  4. What will happen to Roger Nixon and Jonathan outside in the storm?
  5. Will Jonathan have to "get rid of" Nixon?
  6. What's going to happen to Martha? (Related to question #3)
  7. Will people discover Clark's secret?
  8. What brought on the storm?
  9. What will happen to the town of Smallville when the funnels descend on them?
  10. Is Whitney, in his bus, going to caught up in the funnels?
  11. Did Lana give an answer to Whitney's question?
  12. Will Lex be able buyout the plant with the employees?
  13. Does Lionel have any other motives for closing down Plant No. 3 other than dragging Lex back to Metropolis?
  14. Will Lex really become evil?

My bet on #2 is that he does save his father, but does it only because his father agrees to keep Plant No. 3 running. So he trades Lionel his life for the fate of Smallville. As you can see, we're concerned about Lex and the whole "becoming evil" thing. My friend, who usually adores and obsesses over "evil" or bad-boy characters and asserts that evil-ness makes any character that much more interesting and glompable, wants Lex to not become evil. I was rather surprised. Clark can go to waste, quite frankly.

ChibiAnime!Clark: *big eyes well up with tears* You meanie...*sniff* Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!

...Er...Um...

ChibiPurpleShirt!Lex: *pops in a cloud of violet-tinted smoke* Crap. It got loose again. Damnit. Okay, who let it get out again???

Chibi!Lexes: *chorus* Not me.

Um...would anyone care to explain this...thing that's dripping tears onto my favourite t-shirt?

ChibiPurpleShirt!Lex: It's ChibiAnime!Clark. Something malfunctioned in your brain when you thought it up and this popped up.

Oh...I must have been thinking about Fushigi Yuugi then. Or Sailormoon. Or I could have been doing the "Mamo-cha~aaaannnn~~~" thing w/ my friend, Martha.

ChibiPurpleShirt!Lex: I don't even want to know. *shudder*

Probably the whole annoying, tearful heroine thing made it. Er...could you just...get it to stop crying and off my shoulder?

ChibiPurpleShirt!Lex: You're the creator. Take some responsibility.

Hmm...you sound like Lionel.

ChibiPurpleShirt!Lex: *bops verite on the head with a rubber hammer violently* You're pushing it, bitch.

Damnit. *flicks off ChibiAnime!Clark into the distance*

Also we came up w/ a list of things that raised our interest:

  • Chloe looks like a Barbie Girl and frighteningly so.
  • Lana is stupid for not following safety procedures for tornados and she's lived sixteen years in Kansas in a small, agricultural-based town.
  • For everyday wear, Lex seems only to wear two types of shirts (t-shirts or polo shirts in blue or purple), one coat (long, black and collared) and pants (dark-coloured trousers) when in Smallville.
  • Lex uses a Mac laptop. *shock* Admittedly, it's one of those nice, new, ultra-thin ones that I've had the dubious pleasure of using once b/c a teacher lent it to me for brief use in class, but it's a Mac. A Mac stores his information, his files, all the stuff he has on the crash site, his emails, his music, etc. *shock* What has the world come to?
  • Clark needs to be thoroughly debauched in his tuxedo by a certain bald-headed youthful billionaire because it should be made a crime if LL doesn't. And mussed formal clothing is just too hot to resist, especially when organically grown and wholesome farmboys are wearing them.
  • Certain things might happen to Whitney while he is in the army. *suggestive leer*
  • Whitney is an idiot for asking Lana to wait for him. Or just too sentimental (however, he plays Lifehouse's Everything when he and Lana dance, so it's slightly excusable and sweet). Either way, he needs to wake up to the 21st century.
  • Whitney is also an idiot for asking Clark to "look after" Lana. I'm sure Lana, being born in modern times can look after herself sufficiently. He's also asking Clark not to date Lana, which smacks of convuluted thinking.
  • Whitney will get cancer or become mutated from Lana's necklace.
  • Whitney should have snogged Clark during their final scene together.
  • Clark is an ass, Chloe is lovesick, Lana is lusting after Clark, and Whitney's a poseur w/ his pals and going Lana-ish weird by fulfilling supposed wishes of dead parent(s). Lex and Lionel are cool and duking it out deviously. Jonathan should calm down, Martha needs to get the hell out, and Roger Nixon should be shot. Repeatedly.

This list is just beginning...

[Theme music: Remy Zero - Save Me]

Warning: Massive spoilers for season finales of Smallville, Gilmore Girls, and Buffy

OMIGOD, HOW DARE THEY LEAVE IT LIKE THAT???

Am totally shocked and on edge of what happened in Smallville. Am v. frustrated that they left it like that. Is blatantly unfair and cruel punishment! Scheming bastards!

Clark and Lana are both stuck in the tornado, Chloe's left hanging (she's not going to forgive Clark easily, I betcha), Lex is deciding whether to save his father or not (and looks psychotic with the blood streaming over his eye), and Roger Nixon (utter asshole and bastard) knows about the Kents, him and Jonathan are outside in the tornado, the ship's going crazy with Martha in the cellar, and I'm going to go mad over the next few days because there isn't a new episode until the fall.

*whimper* Need new Smallville episode now.

My view of the episode: Too much sap. I nearly gagged with the overly romantic, mushy stares that passed between Chloe/Clark and Whitney/Lana. Acting by some characters sometimes struck the wrong tone or note, except John Glover, who plays Lionel so well, I just want to leave him under the rubble b/c he's such an asshole. Michael Rosenbaum, v.g. again, of course. Tom Welling occasionally lapsed in his acting, as did Allison Mack, but of course, romantic scenes can be cheesy, especially w/ the lines and actions they had.

Am torn between squealing in delight over Chloe/Clark development and cheering on CLex, as inner fangirl just revels in CLex, but canon points most decidedly to Chloe/Clark and have slight inclination to Chloe/Clark more than Clark/Lana.

Best WaFF/Friendship moment: When Lex ties Clark's bowtie for him. Awwww...so cute and brotherly and nice, I couldn't help but notice the friendship/feel good vibes. I enjoyed it even with the possible slashy interpretation. It's just a normal moment between Lex and Clark before, literally and figuratively, the storm hits. It's a good contrast of their unique relationship and the mere act of an older friend/brother-type helping another younger friend/brother (something normal and family like). It's a very symbolic and a key moment in their relationship and it contrasts with their later relationship as Superman and Lex Luthor. Also, Lex says something the point of being glad that their relationship is not based on lies and deceit. Ooh, that barb just goes right into Clark's gut! Dug into me too, I winced a bit when he said that. I could go on forever with that scene and a mess of human behavioural stuff.

Extremely good scenes w/ Lex in them, great tension created between him and his father, absolutely the best part of the episode. I didn't like the whole Clark part of the show much, cute, but not attention-grabbing like the tribulations Lex is going through with the buyout, Nixon, his father, the plant, etc.

Am completely enamoured w/ Lex and by default, Michael Rosenbaum, now. Am dying to know what happened! Want to know what was the music for that episode and more Lex, Clark, Chloe, Lana, and Pete now. *whimper*

Gilmore Girls: SHE SLEPT WITH HIM!

Am shocked Lorelai slept w/ Chris. Nice guy, really nice and would be pleasant, happy happy joy joy to have him introduced into life of Lorelai and Rory again, but really...

Kiss between Rory and Jess...squuuuuuuueeeeeee!!!! ^_^ V. happy. Proves existence and possible dominance of Rory/Jess-ness in Gilmore Girls.

Am v. worried about Dean. I remember in an episode or two ago, he kept on calling again and again. He was also wildly jealous when Rory is just talking to Jess and is offended when Rory spends time away from him (in the episode or two ago). From one of the articles I got in Law today, they are all signs of a possessive, possibly violent and abusive significant other. o_O Perhaps I'm just paranoid and Rory/Jess...

Otherwise than Smallville being an utter cliffhanger that will dig into my soul incessantly and more cruelly than any other season finale (i.e. Buffy [Spike has a soul! Too psychologically fucking cool, it says many things about his subconscious and Buffy will freak], Gilmore Girls) since it is more cliffhangy than others, at least the others had some sort of wait-able storyline going, Smallville is at the pinprick of the center of a pivotal point. (Is Clark able to save Lana? Will Lex save Lionel?) Gilmore Girls at least has resolved the issue of Jess coming back, Rory kissing him, and we aren't completely on edge like Smallville has done to me.

Am slightly shell-shocked at what happened in Smallville. Will go and have drink to calm self down. Know self is completely random and senseless and totally strange right now.

Spent afternoon slaving in the kitchen to make dinner for 12 people including self. Menu was bbq pork chops, herb and olive oil marinated lamb chops, T-bone steaks, buttered white asparagus, lemon and white wine sauteed shrimp and salad. All done within an hour and a half and I was completely frazzled over possible overdone-ness of lamb and steak. Didn't get to eat until everyone was finished their dinner. Am never throwing dinner parties b/c I'd never get to talk to ppl or do anything fun. Whew, glad that's over.

I don't know whether to be pleased or shuddering in horror. Kingdom Hearts will definitely be interesting. Victoria Day, ppl. Let's all celebrate a day named after a Queen of Britain who is pretty much damn well dead and set out a load of strict laws that suppressed creativity and freedom! *salutes* Cheers!

Am tired, high on sugar and slightly embittered by what happened to Oscar Wilde. Literary genius who was gay and some asshole ratted him out and got him in jail (I think...). Love that kind of tragic story.

Val's too funny. I hope that her prediction about the UCC thing will be correct b/c it will be the most hilarious thing ever. Probably the best grad prank this year w/o doing major damage like the other tasteless, costly pranks from the other schools including mine.

Just finished watching Sweet November. Cheesy, but sweet and watchable only once. Real reason why I rented it: MR. Michael Rosenbaum. Him in drag? Too much eyeshadow, his skirt and top didn't match v. well, and slightly disconcerting, but still charming. Him in cute modern geek mode w/ slightly spiky dark hair and nerdy glasses and being all concerned is completely huggable and adorable and I just want to glomp him there. And him in that cowboy hat? *squeal* Utterly glompable! ^_^ I'm such a fangirl.

Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron...hmm. Sweet story, touching, finally something that doesn't end up w/ the two main characters together til death. The story was sweetly melancholy, a different taste of love altogether. Sweet, with a touch of bitterness, kind of like how bittersweet chocolate is, which, in my opinion, just perfect. Bitterness to contrast with and balance the sweetness and to set off each other's flavour to make each more intense.

Sorry, went off on a culinary tangent there. Too much FoodTV, which by the way, rocks b/c Iron Chef is just too funny w/ the Chairman dude and all the other chefs. Extreme cooking at its most intense. Japan's the only country to pull of that kind of show, America's one of the most conventional and stiff-assed nations in the bloody world.

There I go again on rant mode. Note, there's no password to my ficblog now. The password thing is too annoying and bothersome. Excuse me, I'm tired and strange and high right now. *passes out*

Spoilers for Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (overly long and obnoxious title)

*rofl* Read Teague's blog for an absolutely hilarious review of AOTC. Too too funny! Many many good things about it, including the psychotic padawan thingy and Jedi idiocy. It's worth seeing AOTC for.

It's weird to go a shitty movie just to understand a review more fully, but honestly, if you've seen AOTC, go read it. You will kill yourself laughing like I did.

Chibi Psychotic!Anakin: You're not dead yet.

Not literally, of course.

Chibi Psychotic!Anakin: You're not dead yet, but you will be soon. *grin*

Err...think will remove psychotic padawan from shoulder now. *flicks Anakin off* Anakin is honestly too funny in AOTC, especially when he gets all overly earnest and intense which is always when he's talking about/to Padme, though not restrictd to that. Is intensely creepy for a guy of Anakin's age in Phantom Menace to have thought of her every single day until he sees her again. His hormones wouldn't have kicked in until later and it's just waaaaaaay too creepy to have a guy think about you for something like a decade every single day when you were apart and have him tell you that. It's kind of like the Porphyro/Madeline thing in Keat's "The Eve of St. Agnes". Who'd shag a guy who crept into your dressing room and peeked at you changing even if he was all that and a bag of chips? Likewise, wouldn't any person be at the very least be creeped out by Anakin's intensity?

Enough about AOTC, I disliked it and was hard-pressed to find little good/amusement within it w/o being a sarcastic bitch about it, the only exception being the scene when Yoda fights. Then again, I laughed my ass both times b/c it's just so funny to see him bouncing about and doing martial arts poses (ultra campiness) fighting Dooku when before he was all rheumatic and elderly, hobbling about w/ a cane and walking v. slow. Oh the wonders of CG!

Sudden thought: Yoda should have ran through Dooku's legs and turned and sliced off Dooku's legs at the ankles.

Chibi!Dark Schneider: You are a cruel and bloodthirsty bitch.

Thank you. ^_^

Chibi!DS: I approve entirely. *grin*

Chibi!Raiden: You're both insane and destructive. And scary. *cowers in corner*

*pats Chibi!Clark's cheek* The correct word is mentally disordered, not insane. It's not legally or politically correct to say someone's insane. As an added note, those who were formerly "housewives" are now household engineers.

I really should finish watching Absolutely Fabulous, as Rogers claims it's a 2-Day rental, while the cover says clearly 5-Day rental. Idiots, put a cover on a bloody DVD correctly, won't you?

Leafs and Hurricanes in OT! *squeal* Excuse me while the sports fan in me runs off to watch it.

Warning: Spoilers for Star Wars: Episode II and a lot of immature bitching.

I HATE Episode II. I wanna slap Ewan McGregor. I wanna kick Natalie Portman's ass. I wanna punch Hayden Christensen. I wanna kick George Lucas in the groin. I just really want to do something drastic to Episode II because it sucked ass!

I hate it.

Love story: cheesy to the point where I was honestly whimpering.

Acting: often stiff and unnatural and just absolute crap.

Special effects: the only thing that kept me vaguely interested.

General plot: almost PWP and so stock, I guessed the rest of the story (as a non Star Wars fan) pretty quickly.

The only cool part: where Yoda fights. (YAY YODA!)

My verdict: Loathe it so much I now dislike Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor (both who I loved so much before this travesty called a blockbuster film)

I had to subject myself to "it" twice. Yesterday and today b/c I promised two different sets of friends I'd go see it w/ them. First time, making satirical comments was fun w/ other equally sarcastic ppl, second time, laughing my ass off in an attempt to lessen the pain and cheering on Yoda more vocally was fun.

I don't want to go through that again ever. EVER.

Enough ranting, I am in the process of setting up my ficblog, The Windows of a Hallway. It's password protected (username: truth password: night) but take a look if you're vaguely interested in what my mind has produced at times when it really should be sleeping. I've posted a Spider-Man movie-verse Harry/Peter slash fic there. Yes, I know, even I'm vaguely disturbed.
