The unpleasantness needs to stop. It has grown worse with personal problems and major misunderstandings. I'm not asking for everything to be sunshine and flowers. I'd just like some civil rationality. Emphasis on rationality.

On a cheerier note, I got a great Harry/Draco coloured sketch as a belated birthday present from my friend, Lucy. *squee* She's giving up on yaoi/slash, but she did one final thing for me. It's got semi-n3kk1d Harry! XXD The only problem is how to keep it un-crumpled...

Philsophy class r0xx0r3d today! We got completely off-topic and we discussed paradoxes in logic all class and it was an amazing experience. It was like having a passage in your mind that had been blocked cleared up. Your mind goes into a state of clarity and it seems like everything you've learned is wiped off and you start afresh on the "knowlege" you've accumlated.

Hm. So I'm 17. All right.

The thing is that I don't see what a big deal being one year older is. A person's approaching it all year, so when they arrive at the next year, it should be no surprise, right?

No...there is a big celebration, some sort of present-giving because that's what we do, and it's a marvelous thing. Why? I think it's to celebrate the sanctity of birth. Birth and creation is a wonderful thing, so humans must celebrate it in a joyous fashion.

And really, birthdays are just days when people are a bit nicer and pay a bit more attention to you.

Sorry to sound so cynical, but that's how I started my day. Strangely flat, unemotional, and cynical. I felt like crying because of some strange unidentifiable emotions.

Birthdays also seem to make me ditzier. I went through the whole day in a haze. I think it's a disease or something...

Halloween tomorrow. LotR cosplay! Whee! XD

I got a cake! Emily baked me a cake. I feel so special. XD My friends even brought chips and cookies at lunch and I didn't really appreciate that much because I was finishing up an English essay and there was a guidance meeting, but I've never had a cake baked for me. NEVER. I've always baked cakes or my family buys them. ^_^

And I went to BSS to visit da possee. 'Twas fun, especially the Polaroids, the roof, and the cartwheels down the grad locker hallway until birdy broke my concentration. And I blend into BSS. Wow. All I need is the sailor fuku and a distinct absence of green in my wardrobe. XD

How many times have I done this in GTA3? I've lost count. ^_^

When you write a word over and over and over again, it loses all defintion and meaning. It's just letters, unnatural things that don't exist in nature. It's funny-looking symbols without meaning or sense. But when humans create these funny symbols, organize them together into an alphabet, assign them a particular sound, it magically becomes a language. A language has such immense power. It is how we express ourselves, the only way to truly and clearly communicate our thoughts and ideas. Without a semblance of a language, there would be no civilization and no society. Even the most primitive of societies wouldn't exist without language because language, even body language, is the only way humans can come together. And we take language for granted. We don't appreciate it. We use language everyday, in speech, in written mediums, in conversation, in reading and even in thought.

Which leads me to the inevitable question: can thought exist without words? Then what is thought?

It starts at 4 PM, but if we take the 32 Eglinton West bus from Eglinton to the very end, it might work, but I'm guessing that's going to take at least an hour or two and a bit of walking...

Honestly, that is the funniest thing I've come across in a long, long time. I've gotten some of the weirdest couples. Some squicky, some strange and some actually...possible. Kamui/Nagi (which is somewhat amusing, since they're both uke-ish...especially Kamui, who is cast as the seme and I'd doubt they'd get anywhere), Ken/Dilandu, Duo/Tatsumi (which makes me think back to CNAX2002), Momiji/Goku (which is so hilarious! Momiji as seme *rofl*), Treize/Nagi (which smacks of some shotakon there...), Tatsumi/Gojyo (which is...actually believable to a certain extent), and most interesting of all, Santa/Santa from Kaikan Phrase and Kumagorou/Trowa (Gravi and GW respectively). How the hell did they think that up? How does one go about being seme and uke? Cloning machine? *rofl* And the second one is just dain-bramaging. pink bunny...homicidal hair...*shudder*

Watching Kare Kano. ^_^ Tsuda Masami is a genius. Kare Kano isn't a typical shoujo manga love story. It's deep, serious, complex and rarest of all shoujo manga, intelligent. It has plot, character development, foreshadowing and themes, just like a good story! Yay!

Microserfs by Douglas Coupland is almost completely incomprehensible to me and speaks entirely about employees at Microsoft, spawn of Satan. I love it and would sincerely like to give Douglas Coupland a hug.

Life of Riley is taking me away from important things like sleep and sporking a blender. Gore is one cool vampire. Okay, I revise that, he's one of the most fucking amazing vampires ever. PAINTBRAAAAAWWWWLLL! XD

Horrid day. I felt the moment I woke up that today was going to be kind of shitty. I just didn't know how shitty.

AP Calc made me break down today. I don't break down for a little thing like this, but lately, it's been stressing me out too much, especially with the test today and my teacher refusing to let me switch out into regular Calc because the only class I can switch into is full and I'm supposedly not doing too badly in AP Calc. I may be getting decent marks with the 1.1 boost, but I'm not learning anything. I just memorize and I don't learn because the pace is too quick for me, the teacher's teaching style is idiosyncratic and jumps all over the place and the problems are too difficult. I want out because it's negative in many ways and if it continues on, which I think it most definitely will, then I will surely do something desperate to get out. >_<

Editing articles for my section of the school newspaper. Main problem: no room to write corrections. >_< Gaaaah...there is no room in single-spacing to write corrections where they would be the most obvious except if you do tiny writing. Staff writers have not as of yet grasped the beauty of 1.5/double-spacing yet. I must teach them that and the various ways of corrupting people through written media. XD

Got Philosophy speech thing back! ^_^ And my English teacher stopped me in the hall to tell me she liked the Hamlet seminar my partner and I did yesterday. I hope the rest of it goes well, since we didn't finish it, and I need to a good mark considering my overall English mark is pretty bad right now. A fairly nice day compared to yesterday's Economics test, English seminar and a "talk" with my AP Calc teacher who won't let me drop it for regular Calc. Is my mark royally screwed for the rest of the year? Hell yes.
